My name is Mrs. Chappel and I teach second grade. This is my seventh year teaching and my fourth at Kolb. I have been with the BCPS since 1996. I started as an educational assistant and worked my way through school for my Teaching degree. I am currently in the process of completing a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and I will graduate from SVSU in the spring.

I am married and I have three beautiful children. My daughter is in second grade and my son in preschool, both here at Kolb, and I also have an 18 month old daughter. I am a busy mom with 3 kids, school, teaching, and I am also my daughter's Brownie Girl Scout troop leader! If I do have any spare time, I love to spend it with my kids, taking walks, and reading. I am looking forward to starting another school year
