As a phys. ed. teacher at Kolb plus MacGregor and McAlear-Sawden, I unfortunately do not get to know everyone in the building. This year, however, it is much nicer because I at least know some of the routine. Year #12 in Bay City this is for me, year #37 total; yes, that is a LOT of years. In addition to teaching phys. ed., I also have taught woodshop, welding and drafting at both Central and Western High Schools.

Much of my love of the gym comes from my love of sports. Right now, I am coaching boys' tennis at Central for the tenth year, and in the spring start my third year of girls' tennis. I also coached basketball and football during my career.

My wife, Mary, and I spend our free time traveling south to see our daughters, both of whom work at colleges. Our oldest daughter is in South Carolina and our other daughter is in Georgia. We hope they move closer to Michigan soon!
